My Come-to-Jesus Moment With AI: A Small Business Owner's Wake-Up Call

I have been following AI news, newsletters, platforms, tools, YouTube influencers, and SKOOL communities for more than a year now. I didn't engage beyond prompting ChatGPT and Claude to do some cool things, yes, time saved writing contracts, market researching, and content creation, but as a SaaS project manager in a previous life, I knew that vibe-coding might be fun, but actually deploying a functioning workflow that doesn't break and keeps working after I'm done is a whole different story. I had no interest in spending time creating toys that would break sooner or later.

The Observer Phase

I did, however, start teaching AI to entrepreneurs for market research, business plan creation, and marketing. And I loved every time I hit enter on a prompt that delivered a punch of information to an audience who always asked me: "Where do I start? Which AI tool do I use?"

Seeing their feedback and reactions was extremely satisfying because I knew I was delivering huge value with only a few prompts and zero tech skills required from my audience.

The Teaching Moment

And then last month, when I ran an AI session for small businesses, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel for entrepreneurs and businesses while running a live session with Claude. Midway through the session, one of the attendees exclaimed:

Looking back at my six years of experience in Business Intelligence at the biggest brewer in the world, as a Business Analyst who stitched ten data sources together to report daily on sales and market share, or my years as an entrepreneur running every function in our two-person startup, Claude Cowork is what I have been waiting for this whole time.
